Events

Small weddings and whole-house stays.

Twelve rooms, 24 beds, one long table and half an acre of garden. We do one event at a time and never while other guests are in the house. If it is yours, it is all yours.

Whole-house stays

The house, with the sign turned around.

A buyout gives you all twelve rooms, the kitchen and dining room, the library, the porch, the garden and the pool, with the five of us working for you alone. Twenty four people sleep comfortably, twenty seven with the daybed and two rollaways. Breakfast for everyone is included, and the long table is yours for dinner every night you are here.

Most buyouts are a family for a long weekend, a company that wants to think for three days, or the two nights around a wedding. Two night minimum, three on summer weekends.

Small weddings

Forty guests, the garden, and a long dinner.

We host about a dozen weddings a year, all of them small. The ceremony happens in the garden by the olives, or on the porch if it rains. Dinner is at the long table extended into the dining room and out onto the porch, which seats forty at a push. There is no dance floor and no DJ. There is a record player, the garden, and the string lights.

Every wedding is a buyout. The couple and their people take the twelve rooms for two nights, the wedding happens on the middle day, and no one else is in the house. The wedding itself adds a flat $3,500 to the buyout for the garden setup, the extra staff and the cleanup, plus dinner at $85 a head and whatever you drink.

Teo plans the menu with you. Flowers, music, the officiant and photographs are yours to arrange, and we have a short list of people we like for each. Nora runs the day. You will not need a planner for a wedding this size, and we will tell you if we think you do.

Weddings book nine to fourteen months out for summer Saturdays. Winter weekdays can be done in six weeks.
